Tax Preparer

Company Information:

DMG Worldwide Inc. is an Accounting firm We are currently seeking highly motivated seasonal tax preparers to assist clients during this tax season. This seasonal position is from Jan 15th – April 15th.

DMG Worldwide is an Accounting firm that specializes in helping Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs with their Accounting and cash flow management needs. DMG provides businesses professional solutions such as accounting and bookkeeping, tax preparation & planning, Tax Resolution, Outsourced CFO and Advisory services.  

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:

The Tax Pro will work within one of DMG Worldwide corporate office or satellite locations and report directly to the Tax Manager. The Tax Pro be responsible for meeting with our clients and preparing individual and business tax returns. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with existing and new clients.
  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns using company tax software.
  • Ability to follow company workflow processes and procedures.
  • Able to work the entire tax season.

Skills Required and Qualifications:

  • Prepare individual federal and multi-state tax returns
  • Able to make recommendations to clients for add-on services 
  • Bonus if you currently have a book of business
  • Can pass background check and basic tax preparation test
  • Ability to obtain EA certification after tax season

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled Agent strongly desired.
  • Experience within Tax, Accounting or CPA firm preferrable. 
  • At least 1-year tax preparation experience of individual tax returns.
  • Skills in tax compliance & research.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently on assignments, and enjoy interfacing with clients.
  • Possess adequate verbal and written communication skills with solid organizational skills.
  • Experience with ProSeries Tax Software a plus. 
  • Have valid PTIN or meet qualifications to receive one. 
  • Ability to work under pressure with high volume tax clients.

Compensation:

  • Hourly (Depending on experience) + Commission

The Tax Accountant will work in our Alpharetta office and report directly to the Tax Manager. The Tax Accountant be responsible for meeting with our clients and preparing individual and business tax returns. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with existing and new clients.
  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns using company tax software.
  • Ability to follow company workflow processes and procedures.
  • Oversee small team of tax preparers 

Skills Required and Qualifications:

  • Prepare individual federal and multi-state tax returns
  • Preparation of Business Tax Returns including 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041
  • Able to make recommendations to clients for add-on services 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled Agent or CPA strongly desired.

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, finance, Business Management or related field
  • 3-5 years tax preparation experience of individual and business tax returns.

Full-time Bookkeeper

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:

The bookkeeper will work within DMG Worldwide Accounting department and report directly to the Accounting manager. The bookkeeper be responsible for our client’s monthly write-up, bank/credit card reconciliations, financial reporting adhoc reports, and specialized projects. The bookkeeper will also be responsible for A/P, A/R, and G/L for our clients. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Review of P&L Statements and Balance Sheets
  • Production of Monthly Financials
  • Performance of Sales Tax and other Tax-Related Issues
  • Processing AP/AR
  • Management of requests in timely manner

Skills Required and Qualifications:

  • Passionate about accounting and bookkeeping
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience or Associates degree in Accounting
  • Extreme organization and strong decision-making skills
  • Understanding of business models
  • Able to pass background check
  • Able to pass Bookkeeping and QuickBooks Testing

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:

As a Tax Preparer/Enrolled Agent, you will meet with clients to assess their tax needs, prepare their returns, communicate with the clients regarding their returns and assist clients in the tax mediation process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interview clients to obtain additional information on taxable income and deductible expenses and allowances.
  • Interview clients to gather financial information
  • Use all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to keep clients’ taxes to a minimum
  • Calculate tax information
  • Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses
  • Compute taxes owed or overpaid, and complete entries on forms, following tax form instructions and tax tables.
  • Furnish taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure correct tax form completion
  • Advise others on financial matters
  • Check data input or verify totals on forms prepared by others to detect errors in arithmetic, data entry, or procedures
  • Verify accuracy of records
  • Consult tax law handbooks or bulletins to determine procedures for preparation of atypical returns
  • Update professional knowledge
  • Calculate form preparation fees according to return complexity and processing time required
  • Answer questions and provide future tax planning to clients
  • Develop financial plans for clients as needed
  • Correspond with customers to answer questions or resolve complaints
  • Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns
  • Examine financial records
  • Maintain and manage fixed asset schedules
  • Explain federal and state tax laws to individuals and companies

Skills Required and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must be an active Enrolled Agent with the IRS
  • 3+ years of Tax experience required
  • 3+ years of QuickBooks Online preferred
  • 2+ years ProSeries Profession preferred 
  • Experience preparing business taxes including 1120, 1120S, 1065

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven work experience as a tax preparer
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:

The Administrative Assistant role is to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. As the Administrative Assistant, your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities will include scheduling meetings and appointments, making office supplies arrangements, greeting visitors and providing general administrative support to our employees. Previous experience as a Administrative Assistant or Office administrator would be an advantage. The successful Administrative Assistant should have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties. Ultimately, the Administrative Assistant should be able to ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operation.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point person for Administrative Assistant duties including: maintenance, mailing, supplies, equipment, bills, errands, shopping
  • Schedule meetings and appointments
  • Organize the office layout and order stationery and equipment
  • Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs
  • Update and maintain office policies as necessary
  • Organize office operations and procedures manuals
  • Ensure that all items are invoiced and paid on time
  • Input bills into QuickBooks and pay bills accordingly
  • Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease
  • Manage office General and Administrative budget, ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires
  • Address employees queries regarding office management issues (e.g. stationery, Hardware and travel arrangements)
  • Plan in-house or off-site activities, like parties, celebrations and conferences

Skills Required and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • High School degree: additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
  • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook,etc.)
  • Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online accounting system
  • Familiarity with email scheduling tools, like Email Boomerang
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Customer Service Rep

Primary Function and Scope of Responsibilities:

The CSR 1 will work within DMG Worldwide call center and report directly to the call center manager. The CSR 1 will be responsible for putting our Business Development team in front of qualified prospects.  This position includes being able to set appointments and quick to overcome objections over the phone. The CSR 1 must be motivated and energetic.  This ideal candidate will use their business/product knowledge and charisma to engage the prospect to increase sales through canvassing and outbound calling.  This position is a results-driven position that gives you the exciting opportunity to control your level of success.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cold call to businesses and business owners
  • Set appointments with prospects for accounting services
  • Accurately record prospects personal information into our appointment software
  • Follow up with prospects to confirm appointments using email, phone, and SMS
  • Provide marketing collateral to interested prospects using email
  • Work with the Business Development team to engage the prospect
  • Increase sales potential by setting strong qualifying appointments
  • Outbound calling to book & reschedule appointments

Develop new and existing referral sources from which successful referential relationships can be gained. Meet with different company teams and establish goals and strategies, business relationships, and developing proposals for new engagements.

Principal Responsibilities:
